ON THE ROAD WITH BOB & SHEILA EVERHART

“On the Road’ didn’t take us very far from Anita this
week.”  said Bob Everhart the composer of “Nothing Is Small” an original
song the dynamic Smithsonian Institution duo Bob & Sheila have out
on You Tube.  “We got as far as Castana.  Maybe you don’t know where
that’s at.  It’s very close to Mapleton, and even closer to Richard
Bauman’s Timber Ridge Ranch, Vineyard, logging company, trailer park,
and lodge.  Actually there’s much more than that at this beautiful Loess
Hills property.  Sheila, Bobbie Lhea, and I hitched a ride with Arlyn
and Marge Lund, to celebrate the 80th birthday of Richard.  Well over
300 people showed up at his lodge to share a delicious chicken dinner as
well as best wishes to Richard, along with an evening of music provided
by Dale Eichor and Bobby Awe.   Right down our alley, agrees Sheila.
We had a great time.  Richard and his wife are great fans of Eichor
& Awe, and since they are going to be performing at the Oak Tree
Opry on May 4th, we thought it would be nice to give Richard and his
wife some free tickets to that show.”
“We’re still getting some great comments back from
SpringFest,” Sheila added, and Francis Hahn has somehow managed to put a
video of LeMar the singing French dog on the internet.  We’re not
exactly sure how you go there to see it, but those words should work, or
go to Francis Hahn, find him on the you-tube or the facebook, and then
you can see the little dog singing his little heart out.  Bobbie Lhea
and I are going to spend a couple of days in Missouri, visiting with my
mother who is going through radiation treatment for cancer.  She seems
to be doing well enough, but this horrible disease is so vile.  It just
seems like our brilliant scientists and doctors could find a cure, it
has been such a decimating and terrible disease among our people.”
“Sheila left this morning for Missouri, so that gave
me a chance to watch television,” Bob was quick to add.  “But wow,
there’s something like 52 channels to select from, and only two really
appealed to me.  One is called “Ridiculousness” and the other is called
“Insanity.”  Of course neither one is worth watching, but neither is
just about everything else on cable.  I don’t normally watch much
television anyway, and now I know why.  I’d much rather be getting ready
for a pleasant and very entertaining show like Dale Eichor and Bobby
Awe, come May 4th at the Oak Tree Opry.”
