OLD DOMINION TAPPED FOR NPR FIRST LISTEN

Contemporary country music has gotten an
especially bad rap in recent years, routinely dismissed by outside
observers as mindless, artless, suburban party fare. If ever there was a
band equipped to challenge those characterizations, it’s Old Dominion” –
NPR Music


NASHVILLE, Tenn.  (Oct. 30, 2015) – As anticipation grows for the November 6 release of Old Dominion’s debut album Meat and Candy fans are getting an early listen of the high-energy debut album via NPR Music’s First Listen

Leading into release week Old Dominion, the band that Billboard says is “helping to usher in a new wave of country” also has the No. 2 and still
rising song at country radio; “Break Up with Him.” The hit song was
recently certified GOLD by the RIAA and shows no sign of stopping. 
With the excitement of their debut album being a week away before its release Old Dominion, who NPR
names as “one of country music’s few current, self-contained bands”
will do what they do best, perform for fans. The band will attend the ASCAP Country Awards on Monday, November 9, as well as the 49
th Annual CMA Awards on
Wednesday, November 11 and then head back out on the road for shows in
Mobile and Tuscaloosa, AL, Winston Salem, NC, Indianapolis, Kansas City
and then wrap up the full release week in Los Angeles on Thursday,
November 12.
No
stranger to the road, by the end of 2015 Old Dominion will have
performed over 170 shows which includes 18 stadium dates opening up for
Kenny Chesney this summer on the Big Revival Tour. Furthermore,
the band that’s comprised of lead singer Matthew Ramsey,
multi-instrumentalist Trevor Rosen, drummer Whit Sellers, bassist Geoff
Sprung and lead guitarist Brad Tursi will join Kenny Chesney head back
out on the road in 2016 on Chesney’s Spread The Love Tour.
