Good Vibes and Great Causes: Niko Moon Expands “Good Time Fest” to Charleston for 2026
By Christian Lamitschka for Country Music News International Magazine
Multi-platinum country artist Niko Moon is officially turning the volume up on his mission to spread positivity. Coming off a landmark year, Moon has announced the return and expansion of his highly successful Charleston event at The Refinery. Formerly known as Good Time Charleston, the event has blossomed into the Good Times Fest, a two-day celebration set for May 23 and 24, 2026.
This year’s expansion transforms the event into a full festival experience, perfectly timed to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Month. Designed to celebrate music, community, and well-being, the festival reinforces Moon’s commitment to mental health through connection, upbeat music, and giving back.
A Powerhouse Lineup for Memorial Day Weekend
The Good Times Fest will serve as the ultimate kickoff to Memorial Day Weekend, featuring a headlining performance from Niko Moon each night. The 2026 lineup boasts an eclectic mix of special guests known for their high-energy and feel-good sounds:
-
Uncle Kracker
-
The Wailers
-
The 502s
-
Artikal Sound System
Beyond the main stage, the festival will offer a variety of family-friendly activities and local food trucks, creating a welcoming space where “Good Timers” of all ages can gather.
“CHARLESTON 🌴 we’re doing it again y’all… TWO back to back nights of nothing but positive music and good vibes 🤙🏼,” Moon shared during the announcement.
Beyond the Stage: Mental Health and Wellness
Niko Moon’s influence extends far beyond his chart-topping hits. Born in Tyler, Texas, and raised in Georgia, Moon has used his solo career—launched by the triple-platinum “GOOD TIME”—as a platform for advocacy.
The Happy Cowboy Foundation
Off stage, Niko and his wife, Anna, co-founded the Happy Cowboy Foundation. The non-profit supports mental health initiatives and addiction recovery programs, working to provide resources for those who might otherwise lack access to care. A portion of the festival’s proceeds, as well as sales from Moon’s other ventures, directly benefit this mission.
Happy Himalayan Water
Moon is also the founder of Happy Himalayan, a premium artesian water brand infused with pink Himalayan sea salt. Designed to promote hydration and holistic wellness, the brand features eco-friendly aluminum packaging and a “color-changing” label that reacts to sunlight—encouraging fans to get outdoors.
-
Expansion: In less than a year, the brand has grown into over 300 retail locations, including Kroger, Raley’s, and Nugget Markets.
-
Impact: With over 21,900 bottles sold to date, the brand is actively reducing reliance on single-use plastics.
2026 American Palm Tour
The festival news follows the announcement of Moon’s expanded 2026 AMERICAN PALM TOUR. Celebrating the deluxe release of his latest album, the tour features two new standout tracks: “Bare Feet In The Sand” and the fan-favorite single “Breathe.” Written as a “mantra of positive self-talk,” Breathe has become an anthem for the tour, encouraging listeners to find their own “mental vacation” and let their worries drift away.
