The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame has announced that country music legend Neal McCoy will be the guest of honor at its upcoming 2026 Induction Ceremony. McCoy, a native of Jacksonville, Texas, is set to receive the “Spirit of Texas” award, an accolade reserved for individuals who embody the resilience, integrity, and character of the Lone Star State.

The star-studded celebration, presented by The Norris Foundation and JJ & Bobby Norris, will take place at the world-famous Billy Bob’s Texas on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

An Evening of Heritage and Hospitality

The event kicks off at 6:00 PM with a cocktail hour and a silent auction, followed by a cowboy-inspired dining experience. The formal induction ceremony begins at 7:00 PM, where McCoy will join an elite group of Western icons.

This annual event serves a vital purpose beyond recognition; proceeds directly support the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame’s ambitious 20,000-square-foot museum expansion, as well as its ongoing educational programs and preservation efforts. For fans of the Western way of life, the evening represents a commitment to ensuring that the stories of the American cowboy continue to inspire future generations.

Patriotism in Motion: The Allied Flag Partnership

In a move that perfectly mirrors his reputation for patriotism, Neal McCoy has also announced a landmark partnership with Allied Flag, the nation’s premier manufacturer of 100% American-made flags. Together, they are launching a limited-edition Premium American Flag to commemorate the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.

“The Pledge and the American flag remind us of our shared freedom and what unites us as Americans,” McCoy stated. “In a time when our country feels divided, the flag remains one symbol that brings us together.”

The collaboration is deeply personal for McCoy. On January 7, 2026, he marks a staggering milestone: 10 years of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance live every day for his followers without missing a single day. In honor of this decade of devotion, Allied Flag will begin shipping these limited-edition flags—crafted to strict government specifications—on the anniversary date.

About the Artist: The Texas Ambassador

Neal McCoy’s career is a testament to the power of energy, charisma, and a servant’s heart. Since breaking through in the 1990s with back-to-back number-one hits like “No Doubt About It” and “Wink,” followed by the infectious “The Shake,” McCoy has remained one of country music’s most consistent and beloved entertainers.

  • Awards: A multi-award winner, including multiple Entertainer of the Year honors.

  • Service: A staunch supporter of the U.S. military, McCoy has traveled the globe to perform for troops, bringing a piece of home to those serving far away.

  • Legacy: Beyond the charts, he is defined by his humor and kindness. Whether he is on a stage in Nashville or on a Facebook Live stream at dawn, McCoy embodies the Western values of loyalty and grit.

As he prepares to accept the Spirit of Texas award, Neal McCoy continues to prove that his greatest hit isn’t a song—it’s the authentic, patriotic life he leads every day.
