was born in New Plymouth
[New Zealand] and was raised
on a small sheep and dairy farm before she moved to Wellington where she
attended college. She purchased an Ovation guitar which she still plays today
and performed songs by Emmylou Harris, Billie Joe Spiers, and Dolly Parton.
Several years later she moved back to New Plymouth where she soon joined a
country music club.
Her first album
“I’m Just a Country Girl at Heart” was released in New Zealand in May 2006 with included nine of her
original songs and she reached Number 4 in the airplay charts in
New Zealand and Australia. 
Gail has since
recorded two more albums and her music continues to be well received and she is
getting a huge amount of airplay in her native New
Zealand and Australia and on radio stations in the
USA, UK and Europe.
Gail recently
heard a number of songs written by Derek Griffiths, Ron and Bo Walton and
published by UK music publisher Tabitha Music Limited and the first song which
was recorded in Nashville is the haunting ballad “My Fool Heart Too” c/w “Do the
Hoochie Coochie” which is an original song written by Gail.
The single will be
released by Tabitha Records on 1st June 2012 and is available to
download from Amazon, iTunes and other major download
sites.
