Morgan Wallen, a force reshaping the landscape of modern country music, has unveiled his highly anticipated fourth studio album, “I’m The Problem,” set for release on May 16, 2025. This announcement, delivered directly to his dedicated fanbase, coincides with the launch of his inaugural, all-genre Sand In My Boots Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama, from May 16-18.

Wallen, known for his unique blend of country, cross, and dirt-rock influences, spent nearly a year crafting the album’s tracklist at his farm outside Nashville, collaborating with producers Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome. This introspective process allowed Wallen to reflect on his journey, acknowledging his past while looking towards his future.

“I have been a problem, for sure, and I’ve got no problem admitting that,” Wallen shares. “But there are other sides to me as well. I’ve spent the last 11 months really trying to figure out, ‘Do I still want to be the problem? Is it time to move past that phase in my life?’ I think it probably is, and this might be the last time I get a chance to honestly say it.”

To give fans a taste of the new album, Wallen released two new songs: “Just In Case,” co-written by Wallen, John Byron, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Ryan Vojtesak, Josh Thompson, Blake Pendergrass, and Alex Bak; and “I’m A Little Crazy,” penned by Michael Hardy, Smith Ahnquist, Hunter Phelps, and Jameson Rodgers. Both tracks, produced by Joey Moi, with Charlie Handsome co-producing “Just In Case,” showcase Wallen’s evolving sound and introspective lyricism.

Wallen’s recent achievements underscore his unparalleled success. He became the first artist to have two albums spend over 100 weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart, prompting Forbes to declare him an artist who has “managed incredible feats that few in his genre before him came close to.” With each album, Wallen has refined his music, and “I’m The Problem” promises to be his most personal and grounded work to date.

Adding to the excitement, Wallen will perform songs from the upcoming album on NBC’s Saturday Night Live on March 29th, marking his return as a musical guest.

The release of “I’m The Problem” coincides with Wallen’s 2025 “I’m The Problem Tour,” a 20-show stadium run kicking off on June 20th in Houston, Texas. The tour will feature stops in major cities like Seattle, Foxborough, and Toronto, with a second show added in Madison, Wisconsin, marking the first time an artist has played two consecutive nights at Camp Randall Stadium.

Wallen has curated a star-studded lineup of supporting acts, including Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, and Koe Wetzel, with Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley, and Anne Wilson opening on select dates. These 21 shows, along with his Sand In My Boots Festival, are the only opportunities to see Wallen perform live in 2025.
