September 14, 2012 – Songs of Bigger Picture Vice President of Creative
Matt Rovey was honored at the September 9th Canadian Country Music
Association Awards in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada with the
prestigious “Album of the Year” award for his work producing Dean
Brody’s wildly popular new album, “Dirt.” This achievement marks the
second consecutive year that Rovey and Brody have received the honor, as
their album “Trail of Life” was the CCMA’s 2011 “Album of the Year.”
Rovey, who is currently wrapping up Craig Campbell’s sophomore album
with Keith Stegall, produced and mixed his third project with the
Canadian superstar in Nashville last year. The album’s Gold Certified
single, “Canadian Girls,” the first Canadian-released single to hit No. 1
since 2008, has enjoyed weeks of success on the charts.
