Singer Mary Sarah Returns To The Voice
As Co-Host In Kohl’s Green Room
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — Country Singer Mary Sarah returns to NBC’s wildly popular The Voice on Monday, November 7, where she, along with fellow 2016 Season Alumni, Bryan Bautista,
will be the co-hosts of “Kohl’s Green Room,” showcasing some of the
hottest fashions and trends from the show. (The Voice airs at 8:00 p.m.
ET / 7:00 p.m. CT)
Mary
Sarah was a top 5 finalist on the 2016 season as part of Team Blake,
having initially earned an impressive 4 chair turn in the “Blind
Auditions” with her version of “Where The Boys Are.”
“She survived the early rounds and into the knockout phase (on The Voice),
charming both judges and audience with a savvy mixture of
vintage-country classics (‘Stand By Your Man,’ ‘Rose Garden,’ ‘You Ain’t
Woman Enough’) and more contemporary fare (‘My Church,’ ‘Johnny and
June’),” wrote Chris Gray of The Houston Press.
Later in the season, she and Bautista sang a duet on Ariana Grande’s “Break Free.”  (To view their performance, visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9tvnnnU22g
“I
really am looking forward to being back in LA with the friends I made
last season,” Mary Sarah said.  “Bryan is such a great guy, and we are
going to have a lot of fun.”
Prior to the 2016 Season of The Voice,
a then 20-year-old Mary Sarah made history by being the youngest artist
to record an album of duets with some of country music’s biggest names,
on 12 captivating song collection titled Bridges.  Amazed by the
Texas ingénue’s voice and talent, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Merle
Haggard, Vince Gill, the Oak Ridge Boys, the late Ray Price and others
all signed on to sing with Mary Sarah on their most iconic hits. Dolly’s
“Jolene,” Willie’s “Crazy” and Merle’s “The Fightin’ Side of Me” are
just a few of the songs interpreted by Mary Sarah and her A-list
collaborators. Produced by Kent Wells, long time guitarist, producer,
and band leader for Dolly Parton, the project was also overseen by
executive producer, the late Freddy Powers, who helped Mary Sarah
assemble her dream team of collaborators.
Following
the 2016 season of The Voice, Mary Sarah has continued to perform and
has made multiple appearances on the prestigious Grand Ole Opry.
Last
week, Mary Sarah made an impromptu appearance singing “Heartaches By
The Numbers” in Nashville with renowned The Time Jumpers.
She is currently in the process of writing for a new project due out in 2017.
