MARTY ROE CHAIRS “LITTLES ON THE LINKS”
NASHVILLE, TN – (August 24, 2011) – Diamond Rio’s Marty Roe hit the golf course this week supporting “Littles on the Links,” a children’s golf clinic chaired by Roe and held in conjunction with Big Brothers Big Sisters Golf Classic at Gaylord Springs Golf Links in Nashville coming up this fall.
Shown with the First Place trophy are, from left: Roe; Little Brother Raymond; and Raymond’s Big Brother in the mentoring program Will Trohanis. The young golfer had never even picked up a golf club prior to his instruction with Roe last night, and scored a birdie on his first hole and then won the children’s three hole mini-tournament. Diamond Rio has raised over one million dollars through various events for the local charity.
