Luke Bryan Has ‘Freaky’ Experience at Pizza Parlor

Luke Bryan, who burst onto the country music scene in 2007 with his
debut single, “All My Friends Say,” has probably never been more
grateful for one of his pals than after a scary incident at a pizza
parlor recently.
“I had a friend do the Heimlich on me,” Luke recalls to People Country.
“It was pretty freaky there for about 30 seconds. A piece of flatbread
pizza flaked off and got lodged in my airway and I went down. He picked
me up and got it out of there!”
Luke, who is a first-time nominee for CMA Male Vocalist and Album of
the Year is also getting ready to kick off his first headlining trek
next year. He says he can think of plenty of things to be thankful for
— but they have nothing to do with his current success. “My two boys
[four-year-old Bo and Tate, two] and my wife and I are all very blessed
with health and happiness — and I’m loving that!”
