Loretta Lynn a coal miner’s daughter has song, “Loretta’s Shoes” written about her by up and coming country singer Joyce Shaffer.
Los Angeles, CA  4/5/11  Loretta Lynn was born a coal miner’s daughter and it seems fitting that Joyce Shaffer, the daughter of a sharecropper, would pen and record this heartfelt tribute to Loretta. “Loretta’s Shoes” will take your breath away with its sweet country music and honest words sung to Loretta by Joyce. It is also fitting that this wonderful song will be released the week of Loretta Lynn’s birthday.

“Loretta’s Shoes” will be delivered into Loretta’s hands by her grandson before the release as an early birthday present from Shaffer. “I have such respect and admiration for Loretta Lynn”, Shaffer said, “She grew up poor like me, and had the determination to make her way in a business that is very hard to make your mark in.” Shaffer went on, “I wanted her to know how much she is thought of by me and the rest of America. She is a true inspiration to us all.”

Shaffer who is no stranger to the country music charts hopes to meet Loretta Lynn someday. “It is a dream of mine to sit down and visit with her. I think in a way we are soul sisters” Shaffer said.  With the release of “Loretta’s Shoes”, we would not be surprised if her dream will come true. We are sure to hear much more from this emerging country star.
