NASHVILLE – The CMA Songwriters
Series returns once again to New York City’s Joe’s Pub on
Wednesday, Aug.
1
(6:30 and 9:00 PM/ET). Tickets for this popular series go on sale Friday, June 29.

Featuring
nine-time CMA Award nominee
Little Big Town, consisting of members Karen Fairchild,
Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman, and Jimi Westbrook,
the CMA Songwriters
Series allows music fans insight into the stories behind some of their favorite songs.

“We are
so honored to be able to showcase the stunning talent of Little Big Town at our
Joe’s Pub CMA Songwriters Series show on Aug. 1,” said
Brett James, noted songwriter
and Chairman of the CMA Artist Relations Committee. “They are some of the best
singers in the history of our format and it will be exciting as well for them
to show off their unique approach to songwriting in such a wonderfully intimate
acoustic environment.”

“It’s an honor to be a part of the CMA Songwriter Series,
especially with our dear friends Bob DiPiero and Natalie Hemby,” said Fairchild.
“We are looking forward to being back at Joe’s Pub and to be playing some of
the new record. It’s going to be a great night!”

The Platinum-selling group
first entered the music scene more than 14 years ago with hits such as “Boondocks,”
“Bring It On Home,” and “Good As Gone.” The group recently finished recording
their fifth studio album with producer Jay Joyce
and released the
album’s first single “Pontoon” to radio in April. The single has sold more
than 270,000 digital downloads in only five weeks. The foursome has played in
front of
more than four million people and is currently
on Rascal Flatts’ nationwide “CHANGED” tour.

Joining Little Big Town
will be
Natalie Hemby (“Pontoon” recorded by Little Big
Town, “White Liar” and “Baggage Claim” both recorded by Miranda Lambert),
and the evening’s host,
Bob DiPiero (“Southern Voice” recorded by Tim
McGraw, “Blue Clear Sky” recorded by George Strait, and “You Can’t Take
the Honky Tonk Out of the Girl” recorded by Brooks & Dunn).
