LISA McHugh Best Female Singer of the Year Award 2012

LISA McHugh is living life
in the words of the title of her latest album Dreams
Come To Life
as she presently collects awards throughout Britain and
at home in Ireland.
On Saturday November 20th she
received ‘Best Female Singer of the Year
Award 2012
from The Irish World
Newspaper
in Britain.
The presentation took place during the Irish
World’s 25th Anniversary Celebration Dinner
Dance
in the Novotel, Hammersmith, London. LISA was presented with her award by RTE TV personality Daithi O’Se in the
company of many well known entertainers including X Factor winner Mary Byrne,
Sinead O’Connor and many more. LISA’s band did the honours as they
backed the other award recipients during the night.
Recently LISA also
received ‘Artist of the Year’
2012 Award
in the Northern
Nashville Country Music Club, Thurso, Caithness
in Northern
Scotland. This is an annual award that is voted for by club
members for the artist that makes the best impression during the past year at
their prestigious club.
LISA’s latest
promotional single entitled ‘Why’d
Ya Come In Here’
is getting a huge reaction on both national
and local radio and a DVD of the
single already has 50,000 ‘hits’
on YouTube
on her website at www.lisa-mchugh.com
It is presently one of the most popular tracks shown on all relevant programmes
on SKY TV’s Showcase channel 191, including Hot Country, Ireland West
Music TV, Phil Mack International Country Show and Music Express.
She was one of the artists that were highlighted on SKY TV’s ‘Ceol Country’ recently
shown on BBC Alba channel 168.
The programme included Moe Bandy,
Johnny Rodriguez and Joey and Rory from Nashville filmed during the Northern Nashville Caithness CM Festival
along with a day in LISA’s life filmed when a camera crew visited her at
home in Ireland.
Recently LISA spent
an enjoyable evening in the Millennium Forum, Derry
where Daniel O’Donnell invited her to join him along with Mary Duff, Marc
Roberts and Michael English to celebrate his 30 years in the music industry.
The show was recorded live for broadcast on TG4 TV in December.

LISA’s certainly
not dreaming anymore, she’s very much living in the real world. Hard work
and dedication is proving a very successful musical journey with a bright
future.
