“I’m experiencing so many new opportunities,” notes the songstress, dubbed the Queen of Long Island Country.  “I performed at The Ryman in June during 2013 CMA Music Festival in Nashville, and now I’ll sing before the crowd at a National League game in Phoenix.  My life is amazing.”
The talented singer/songwriter’s newest single, the dynamic “I Won’t Ask,” is on Country radio programmers’ desks now via Play MPE
Power-punching vocals grip the listener as the up-tempo track twangs
and rocks.  Lisa co-wrote the song with her guitarist Colin Smith and
Tony Bruno, the producer of her SOMEBODY’S BABY CD.  “It’s
a song I think a lot of people will relate to,” observes Matassa.
“When you’re insecure in a relationship, there are things you’re willing
to overlook.  These lyrics address that territory of self-protecting
emotion.”
“Cause’ I won’t ask you where you’ve been
I won’t try if that’s the way you want it
I can’t make you understand how it feels when I need you there
Sometimes I feel like you would rather walk away then do what it takes to make me stay
But I won’t ask you where you’ve been” – Bruno/Matassa/Smith
Lisa
just wrapped filming on a video for the new single.  The clip reunited
Matassa with Director Traci Goudie (Hunter Hayes, Merle Haggard, Patty
Loveless) who helmed Lisa’s popular “Somebody’s Baby” video.
Lisa’s fans aren’t surprised by her success.  Her social media numbers are impressive with nearly 500,000 Twitter followers and over 200,000 Facebook friends.  The “Somebody’s Baby” video has logged over FOUR MILLION YouTube views, and the single has gone Top 40 on both the Billboard Indicator and MusicRow charts.  Fans – and industry insiders – are predicting a similar future for “I Won’t Ask.”
