NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 9th, 2013) –
Country recording artist, radio host, and spokesperson Lindsay Lawler
is set to headline alongside fellow artist Blackberry Smoke at this
week’s Trucker’s Jamboree, performing on the main stage at the World’s Largest Truckstop – TA Iowa 80 – in Walcott, Iowa on Thursday, July 11th at 7pm CST. And while the performance may be just that for other artists, it holds a significant meaning for Lawler.
A
long-time spokesperson for the Truckload Carrier’s Association’s
Highway Angel program and supporter of the trucking industry, Lawler
will soon officially announce a 26-city truck stop tour to begin later
this month in Kingston Springs, Tennessee.
“When I originally
booked this show, I had no idea what was to come,” said Lawler. “Since
then, I’ve booked my first truck stop tour – hopefully the first of many
– in an effort to rekindle the relationship between the trucking and
country music industries and expose the trucking industry for what it
truly is – one of the most relevant, hard-working industries in
existence. I’m so looking forward to continuing my work with both the
trucking and country music industries in such a unique way.”
But
the tour is just the beginning of a “rebirth” for the artist. Along with
the tour comes the launch of a brand new website and a new line of
artist merchandise.
“I can’t wait to share with fans all my new
merchandise line has to offer. T-shirts (men’s and women’s), coosies,
key chains, tumblers, photos… You name it! There’s something for
everyone.”
Despite her busy schedule, Lawler will head back into
the studio this summer to record her new, yet-to-be-titled album – a
follow-up to her EP The Long Haul and album Train Wreck – both currently available on iTunes.
