Born in New Jersey and raised on farm in Pennsylvania, Leigh Pollari began her singing career at a variety of venues. Playing fairs and festivals and singing competitions Leigh has performed for everyone from senators to rock stars. Most recently she performed on Perley’s Place, a country music show out of Tennessee that is broadcast on RFD TV.
It is not surprising then that Leigh’s CD You’d Be So Proud would be a crowd favorite.
It is obvious by Leigh’s choice of songs on this disc that she knows her audience well as it is a collection of well written but familiar favorites.
Leigh’s voice is strong and clear and she delivers her performance with a seasoned stage approach.
The production is good but when compared to the originals it just doesn’t quite stand up.
There is no doubt in my mind that anyone who has seen Leigh Pollari live would want to take one of these discs home as a souvenir from a great show and in that she did well to do an album of “Fan Favorites” but as a stand alone CD or as a beginning to a budding career this album will basically be lost in the shuffle of good sounding covers.

If you get a chance to see Leigh Pollari live my guess is you will probably buy a CD and if you bought the CD you’d be pleased with listening to it and reminiscing about the show.
But I can’t help but think that Leigh Pollari has something more to offer. Perhaps her next album will show us what that is
