Lady Antebellum’s Lead Single “Downtown”
Grammy Winning Trio to Debut “Downtown”
Nashville’s Lady Antebellum claim the highest chart debut in their
seven year career today with the release of “Downtown” from their
upcoming fourth studio album. With 109 radio stations adding the song
to their playlists today, Lady A storms the charts at No. 25 on
Billboard and No. 34 on Mediabase.
“We
really wanted to come out of the box on this album with some tempo and
something with a little attitude,” said Lady A’s Charles Kelley. “There
are a lot of really driving sounds on the new record, and we’re excited
for everyone to hear what we’ve been working on…we are calling it our
roll down the windows record. All the support we’re getting from our
friends at radio is firing us up! A huge thanks to them and to Dungan
and the kickass promo team at Capitol Nashville! Whiskey is on us!”
“Everyone
at the label is as excited as our friends at country radio are about
‘Downtown’ and brand new music from Lady A,” said SVP/Promotion Steve
Hodges. “As we go into CRS, the ACM Awards and other events this Spring,
we will be putting together some really special plans to introduce this
incredible new music to the world.”
Lady A will debut “Downtown” today on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on NBC and tape CMT Crossroads with iconic vocalist Stevie Nicks tomorrow in Los Angeles.
