The Kentucky HeadHunters Release
First Single From Dixie Lullabies
NASHVILLE, Tennessee — The Red Dirt Music Company
has released “Great Acoustics”, the first single from
The Kentucky HeadHunters’ forthcoming album,
Dixie Lullabies, on ITunes.
Their first studio album since 2003, Dixie Lullabies
picks up where the HeadHunters left off – creating
their own unique Southern Rock blend of Alternative,
Blues, Country, English Rock, Rockabilly
and even Jazz. The album is set for release
on October 18.
“Facts is facts,” wrote noted writer Holly Gleason
in a recent column for NoDepression. “The Kentucky HeadHunters are a great rock band, filtered through
the British/blues-based rock and roll of the Yardbirds,
The Who, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Frankie Miller and Long
John Baldry. Twenty years after being the biggest thing there was, it appears the Kentucky HeadHunters are on the verge of being what they were meant to be: a slamming rock/roots band that fears no corner at any speed.”
