Reckless and Me, an album release by a movie and tv film actor and star. You immediately think it might be a glam project, a playing around with a fanciful dream the actor had to be a singer and recording artist.
This album does not disappoint. The title track Reckless and Me is a country rock track that has vibes of the Boss, Bruce Springsteen gone country. Kiefer has a good singing voice and comes across as real. The song Blame it on Your Heart goes a little bit old rock’n roll and continues the mix of country and rock that is Kiefer as an artist. This is How It’s Done gives the listener a funky side of his music that has a bluesy steel moaning through it with a rhythm that takes us back to John R. Cash. The song Saskatchewan, opens with a great line, “15 hours of flying, a lifetime on my mind.” Great writing and producing brings a fine album that has soul and character
A sure-fire favorite is Agave, the track is a hot mix of southern rock guitar riffs with some Muddy Waters and ZZ Top vives on it. This track gets down and carries the listener off to warm climes and good times.
Kiefer has a lifetime behind him of emoting feelings and characters from Young Guns to the TV series 24, and he emotes with the best of them on this album that shows a matured artist with a song to sing.
