Just 24 hours prior to the 2013 Toyota Star Maker
Winner Kaylee Bell launched her new album
HeartFirst
it had already reached the No. 1 position on the New Zealand iTunes
Country Chart.
What made it all the more thrilling for the 24
year old is that for that one day she was positioned ahead of superstar Taylor
Swift whose
Red album set a new
worldwide iTunes record for highest ever first-week album sales reaching No.1
on iTunes and national sales charts in 50 countries.
Kaylee
was introduced to the audience by industry publicist and current member of the
board of the CMAA Tom Inglis of HSF Artist Services who said
“I’m amazed at the amount of supporters Kaylee has in her corner,
so many people in the Australian country music scene are passionate about
Kaylee. We all believe Kaylee has what it takes to be an international star.
“Kaylee
is not only a great ambassador for Toyota Star Maker but country music in
general. I have no doubt that Kaylee though her music will attract many new
young country music fans to our scene.”
