KAYLEE BELL
34TH TOYOTA STAR MAKER WINNER

INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION FINALIST NOMINATION FOR
KAYLEE
BELL AND MIKE CARR
Last
year’s Toyota Star Maker winner Kaylee Bell and ARIA award winner, singer
songwriter Mike Carr have been announced as finalists in the country category
of the International Songwriting Competition 2013 with Little Bit Small Town, the second single Kaylee’s Star Maker album
Heart First.
In 2013, Kaylee launched her Toyota Star Maker album Heart First which received her first
nomination in the 42nd CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia.  She performed at all the major festivals
throughout Australia, was a guest of AristoMedia Nashville at the Global
Artist Showcase in Nashville
during the annual CMA Festival,
released two singles and two video clips and won the hearts of her country music
colleagues and fans in Australia and her home country New Zealand.
In January, Tom
Inglis (HSF Artist Services)
began management of Kaylee Bell following her
year as the 2013 Toyota Star Maker winner.
Tom began working with Kaylee whilst part of the Star Maker team in his
role of consultant, publicist and radio plugger.  Tom said; “Kaylee
is an incredible natural talent with a real honest passion for country music.
Her work ethic and drive is outstanding and to make the move away from family
and friends at such a young age to another country to follow her dream is just
so cool. The big bonus is that Kaylee is just one of the nicest and sweetest
people around.”
Kaylee said; “I am really excited to be working with
Tom.  He has so much knowledge and
passion for the country music industry and has big sights and goals for me to
continue building my career.  I feel very
lucky that he’s on this journey with me.”
With 14 finalists in the country category Kaylee Bell, together with Mike
Carr, has a good chance to be one of 68 winners across all genres to share in
the cash and prizes.  Submissions will
now be sent to the celebrity judges of artists and industry and will judge the
songs on creativity, originality, lyrics, melody, arrangement and overall
likeability.
