LEBANON, Tenn. (July 30, 2012)– Country troubadour Josh Turner
will be traveling down the road for a second time with the Cracker
Barrel Old Country Store® exclusive music program when his new live
album Josh Turner—Live Across America, debuts on August 27, 2012.  The CD will be available exclusively at all Cracker Barrel® locations and online on crackerbarrel.com,
Amazon.com, and on iTunes for $11.99.  The album features live
performances of Turner’s biggest hits including “Long Black Train,” “Why
Don’t We Just Dance,” “Your Man,” as well as his never-before-released
version of Waylon Jennings’ “America.”  The performances were recorded
at 12 different live shows from Lancaster, Pa. to Austin, Texas during
Turner’s 2012 tour, which continues through December and is sponsored
exclusively by Cracker Barrel.  Turner previously collaborated with
Cracker Barrel for his 2007 release, Josh Turner—Live at the Ryman.
“This is my second go-round with Cracker Barrel, who also sponsors
my tour. We came up with the idea of taking a mobile studio out on the
road and recording our show every night. And that’s what Live Across America
is: the best renditions of songs from all over the country,” Turner
says. “The fans will be able to hear recordings from their hometowns.”
Cracker Barrel Marketing Manager Julie Craig shares, “Josh’s music
genuinely resonates with many of our guests, and we are thrilled to join
forces with him on a second Cracker Barrel album.  Because the songs
were recorded during actual performances, there’s a feeling of being in
the audience and getting caught up in the energy and excitement of a
live show.”
