Small Town Girl Chasing her Big Dream… and Winning the Race

“I have a sound and a way of making music that is natural to me.”

Jordan Rainer, Season 24 Finalist, NBC’s, The Voice

Once in a while an artist comes along with a story too good not to tell. An artist with personality, heart, moral character and conviction. And an even more rare occasion… a triple threat.

She sings. She plays. She writes.

Her name is Jordan Rainer. She is a tiny little lady with a big huge voice, a multi-instrumentalist and chart topping songwriter from Nashville, TN. Jordan has recently become an International household name for her explosive success as a member of ‘team Reba’ on the NBC reality singing competition, “The Voice.”

At risk of sounding cliche’, just a small town girl, Atoka, Oklahoma’s Jordan Rainer set her sights on a professional music career and never turned back. Coming from meager beginnings and a series of challenges in her young adult life that would have made the strongest of strong turn tail and run, only served as more fuel to her fire for Rainer to charge onward to greatness.

“I’ve cleaned toilets, worked at Walmart, Target, worked construction, and not just worked hard but I went through a period of my life where I’ve had a man that was not that nice to me…” Singer-Songwriter, Jordan Rainer proved doctors wrong who told her that because of a congenital vocal chord condition that she would never sing outside of one octave. With strength training, determination and vocal therapy she now boasts a most impressive 5-octave range. She endured and rose above an abusive relationship, and worked almost every imaginable minimum wage job to fund her budding career.

Now, staring down the barrel of the votes from fans putting her through to the next round during Monday night’s infamous live rounds on the ‘Voice,’ Jordan Rainer sounds, looks and is just better and more confident than she has ever been. It’s clear that being on the show and working with Country music mega star, Reba McEntire has been an incredible learning and growth experience for Jordan and her gratitude for her new mentor is apparent.

“Working with ‘Reba’ is magical…it’s like meeting Santa Clause, in the flesh.”
