Jon Pardi, a prominent figure in contemporary country music, is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated fifth studio album, “Honkytonk Hollywood,” on April 11th. In anticipation of the album’s launch, Pardi has unveiled “She Drives Away,” a poignant and deeply personal track that “opens the door to his next musical chapter,” as described by American Songwriter.

“She Drives Away” explores the emotional landscape of a father watching his daughter navigate the complexities of growing up and eventually leaving home. The song, penned by Zach Abend, Jimi Bell, Seth Ennis, and Jordan Minton, and produced by Jay Joyce, resonates with the universal experience of parental love and the bittersweet nature of letting go. Holler aptly describes it as “one of those simply little slice of life songs that are so synonymous with country music.”

Pardi himself connects deeply with the song’s narrative, stating, “‘She Drives Away’ is a song that I knew I was going to record immediately. I think most dads of daughters will relate to it, but it reminded me so much of Summer and my journey. From when we started dating, to asking her dad for her hand in marriage, and then having our daughters. Now, I’ll go through it from the other side with my daughters. It’s a special song, and I’m really excited for people to hear it.”

For “Honkytonk Hollywood,” Pardi enlisted the acclaimed producer Jay Joyce, known for his work with artists like Eric Church, Brothers Osborne, and Lainey Wilson. Together, they spent three weeks in the studio, meticulously crafting each track with Pardi’s touring band. This collaborative approach has resulted in a 17-track album that showcases Pardi’s artistic evolution and his commitment to authentic storytelling.

“She Drives Away” follows the release of “Love The Lights Out,” described by Whiskey Riff as a “super sultry, sexy track,” and the critically acclaimed lead single, “Friday Night Heartbreaker.” This diverse range of singles highlights the album’s sonic versatility, blending hard rock influences with Pardi’s signature twang.

The album’s title track, “Honkytonk Hollywood,” serves as a central piece, capturing the essence of Pardi’s “grits-and-glitz dual world.” This song seamlessly blends Southern rock swagger with a touch of neon-lit nostalgia, reflecting the complexities of Pardi’s life and mindset. It embodies a fusion of down-home grit and Hollywood shine.

Jon Pardi has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the country music scene. With four Top 5 albums, including the Platinum-certified No. 1 “California Sunrise” (2016), his reputation for bold and authentic music has only grown. His impressive track record includes fourteen RIAA-certified singles, with six reaching No. 1, including the 6x-Platinum hits “Head Over Boots” and “Dirt On My Boots.”

Pardi’s live performances are renowned for their high energy and infectious spirit, earning him international headlining acclaim. With 9.3 billion global streams and a dedicated fanbase, he continues to solidify his position as a leading figure in country music.

Following his headlining shows in the US and Australia, including an appearance at CMC Rocks, Pardi will embark on his Honkytonk Hollywood Tour on April 25th. The tour will take him to arenas and amphitheaters across the United States, with support from Corey Kent on select dates and Kassi Ashton.

Jon Pardi’s “She Drives Away” provides a heartfelt glimpse into the emotional depth of his upcoming album, “Honkytonk Hollywood.” With its blend of personal storytelling and musical versatility, the album promises to be a significant addition to Pardi’s already impressive discography.
