By Christian Lamitschka for Country Music News International Magazine

Nashville is preparing for one of its most poignant celebrations of the year. Country Radio Broadcasters (CRB) has officially announced that Jelly Roll will be the recipient of the prestigious Artist Humanitarian Award during the upcoming Country Radio Seminar (CRS) 2026.

The honor, which highlights the intersection of musical influence and meaningful social impact, will be presented during the three-day seminar taking place March 18–20 in the heart of Music City.

The Heart of a Giant: Why Jelly Roll?

This year’s recognition isn’t just about chart-topping hits; it’s about a triple Grammy-winning artist who has turned his personal struggles into a public lifeline. Jelly Roll’s commitment to addiction recovery, mental health, and community outreach has become a cornerstone of his identity.

While many stars support charities, Jelly Roll’s involvement is described as “deeply personal and far-reaching.” Whether he is visiting correctional facilities to provide hope or funding recovery programs, his work extends far beyond the stage. He doesn’t just sing about the “Son of a Sinner”; he actively works to help others navigate the path to redemption.

About the Artist

Jelly Roll has undergone one of the most remarkable transformations in modern music history. Rising from the underground rap scene to become a country music titan, he has captured the hearts of millions with his raw, unfiltered storytelling. As a triple Grammy winner, he has successfully bridged the gap between genres, but it is his transparency regarding his past and his relentless drive to give back that has solidified his status as a community pillar.

A Legacy of Service

Established in 1990, the Artist Humanitarian Award was designed to honor those in the country music industry whose philanthropic efforts significantly improve the effectiveness and impact of the causes they champion.

By receiving this award, Jelly Roll joins an elite circle of past recipients who have used their platforms for the greater good, including:

  • Eric Church and Luke Combs

  • Carrie Underwood and Kenny Chesney

  • Kane Brown, Jason Aldean, and Luke Bryan
