Independent country artist J.C. Hyke released his new single, “The Tip Jar Song”. He hopes that it will cure the problem of having an empty tip jar. J.C. wrote the song telling the story of musicians making a few extra dollars by passing it around the room. Hyke says, “When I lived in Nashville, I was shocked at how little the bar owners would pay these incredible musicians. So to help them make up for the lack of pay, I watched as they would choose the prettiest girl in the room, to take the tip jar around the bar. The only thing missing, was a great song to turn it into a fun event. So I wrote one!” The song makes the audience aware of what’s happening and that they should get their money ready to put in the jar. Musicians haven’t got a raise for the past 30 years, and this is a way to help them out” says J.C.. It’s a fun and happy song that makes people want to dance and yell, “Yeehaw” .
