Jake Owen’s love life is sharing the spotlight with his career these
days. The singer-songwriter surprised everyone, including his fiancée,
Lacey Buchanan, by proposingduring a recent concert in his hometown of
Vero Beach, Fla. But while Jake is thrilled his gorgeous gal said yes,
he admits he is a bit surprised by how newsworthy their upcoming
nuptials have been.
“A lot of people really wanted to know about it, how it went down.
Everyone wanted an interview,” the country star tells ABC News Radio.
“That’s all great, but I wanted to be normal for a minute. I always
thought I was normal until that moment.”
The 30-year-old’s engagement may be celebrated by millions of fans, but
he says their ceremony will have a very small guest list. “No shoes,
and I’ll probably just be laid back in casual clothes, and she’ll be in
her pretty dress. We’ll have just immediate family and call it a day,”
he maintains.
