JACK LANGLEY Memory – From Both Sides

Memory – From Both Sides
Your Memory Strikes Again – The Last Recall

Jack Langley is without a doubt one of our best songwriters in the upper Midwest.  He has written hundreds of incredibly delightful songs, and here’s his latest two-some.  Memory is such a strange experience when you stop to think about it.  What we remember is usually the ‘good’ times, but there is always at the back of the mind a wispy cloud of ‘bad.’  It could be a broken heart, a rejected heart, a lost heart.  Langley may or may not ‘experience’ these very strong emotions, and then again maybe he does, because this is a very heart-felt songwriting experience.  Not sure where he cuts his demos at, and that is what this is, a demo of two of his newest songs. The guitar work, blend, mix, and talent is wonderfully sufficient for Jack’s very expressive voice.  I just reviewed John Rex Reeves, the nephew of Jim Reeves.  These two songs would fit him perfectly.  Not sure if he is looking for new songs, but I would desperately hope these two wonderful talents could get together.  I’m going to re-write my review to include a contact for both.  So Jack Langley I’m suggesting you send this demo to John Rex Reeves, P O Box 2014, Humble, TX 77347.  I’ll keep my fingers crossed until ‘memory strikes again’ and I hear Jim Reeves nephew singing these two wonderful songs. Jack is a supporter of our music preservation work, and you will see him often at our LeMars, Iowa, Festival.  More information at www.ntcma.net
