IRA DEAN RELEASES TOPICAL SONG “BEER OR GASOLINE” WHILE DEBT DEBATE LINGERS

NASHVILLE, TN — (August 1, 2011) – Ira Dean is shipping a ‘specialty song’ to radio stations across America as his first solo outing cleverly titled, “Beer or Gasoline.” The song is topical, given the looming deadline of the vote on the debt limit increase. Ira wrote this song in 2005 when he was faced with the dilemma facing many Americans in this economy: “Do I buy a gallon of gasoline or a six pack of beer?” This single also will serve to reunite Ira with the country fans and to lead up to his first single that is coming out soon, “Something About A Sunday.”

“In football, Billionaires are arguing with Millionaires,” says Ira. “With me, it just comes down to beer or gasoline.” He continues, “This song is a great reflection of the woes of many Americans today. Do you take that summer vacation this year or do you plan a “staycation” at home to weather the times?” Ira also went out on the streets with a video camera to ask people the question: “If you have $3 to your name, do you buy beer or gasoline?” An overwhelming majority of the people he interviewed chose beer. So looks like we have our answer, beer.

“Beer or Gasoline” is on Ira’s first solo album, Ira Dean, which is set to be released under the Average Joe’s Entertainment imprint in late 2011. The first official single, “Something About A Sunday,” will be going for adds in September. Please visit www.iradean.com for further information.
