SYRIA, Virginia (April 16, 2012):  The Graves Family and Festival Organizers are proud to announce the 20th Year of the Graves Mountain Festival of Music to be held at the Graves Lodge in Syria, Virginia May 31st, June 1st, and 2nd this year. The talent line up for the festival includes some of the biggest names in music to include the Carolina Chocolate Drops, The Cleverlys, The Gibson Brothers, The Quebe Sisters, Balsam Range, Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice, Belfry Fellows (formerly known as Rockin’ Acoustic Circus), and Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen to name a few. Tickets are on sale now for the event.
 
“Twenty years ago when we first started the festival we could have never imagined we would be standing here today preparing for the 20th Season” said Mark Newton, entertainer and one of the festival organizers. “It’s become a family here at Graves Mountain and each year is like one big family reunion. We are excited about this year’s talent line up and the outdoor, family friendly atmosphere in which our shows are held. We hope to see many friends, old and new, this year.”
 
Graves Mountain Lodge in Syria, Virginia, site of the music festival, has been in business for over 135 years. The family owned and operated rustic mountain retreat is well known for its down home hospitality and home cooked food. The festival grounds are nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains making the picture perfect location for a festival deeply rooted in acoustic music tradition.
 
There are a few important details to know before you attend the event. All campers must have a 3 day ticket. Advance camping is $10 per day before May 31st.  Gates open for camping at 8am on May 25th. There is a $20 charge for golf carts. Children under 11 are free with an adult ticket. Advance sale 3 Day Tickets ends at midnight on Friday April 20th. For additional details on camping availability please contact Graves Mountain.
