Garth Brooks Plays Record-Breaking Show @ Knoxville’s Neyland Stadium

Reigning CMA “Entertainer of The Year,” Garth
Brooks brought the house down with his tenth THE GARTH BROOKS STADIUM
TOUR stop with a record-breaking concert at Knoxville, TN’s Neyland
Stadium. Performing the first concert at Neyland Stadium in 16 years,
Brooks connected with fans from all over. Breaking the Neyland Stadium
and the state of Tennessee’s attendance record for a single concert
event, Brooks was welcomed on Saturday night (11/16) with roars of over
84,000 eager fans gearing up for an unforgettable performance.

Kicking
off the night was an energetic opening set by Jon Pardi, followed by
Brooks who took the stage with all of his fan-favorite hits in tow as
well as newer tracks and covers. Knoxville News Sentinel declared
the “crowd sang, screamed, cheered and danced throughout Brooks’ nearly
two-hour set…[his] energy and experience as a performer electrified
Neyland as he ran around the stage in a Tennessee orange shirt.” Brooks’
set also included his current Top 20 and rising, “rowdy” (Rolling Stone)
single with Blake Shelton, “Dive Bar.” The official music video for the
single was just released featuring Brooks and Shelton, accumulating 26
million views on Facebook in the first 72 hours following the premiere.

It
was also recently announced that the next stadium show will land in the
new year in Detroit, MI at Ford Field on Feb. 22, for Brooks’ only
stadium tour stop to be held in Michigan. Tickets will go on sale this
Friday, Nov. 22 at 10AM EST. For tickets and more information, visit garthbrooks.com.

Since
the tour launch, Brooks has broken stadium attendance records in St.
Louis, MO at The Dome at America’s Center, Glendale, AZ at State Farm
Stadium, Gainesville, FL at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, two sold-out
nights at Minneapolis, MN’s U.S. Bank Stadium, Denver, CO at Mile High
Stadium, Eugene, OR at Autzen Stadium and two sold-out nights at Boise,
ID’s Albertsons Stadium shows on 7/19 and 7/20, both of which sold-out
in under an hour, and the most recent show in Knoxville, TN at Neyland
Stadium. This year, the tour averaged just over 83,000 tickets in each
city and over 914,000 tickets sold to date.

Brooks
is also set to simultaneously bring his intimate DIVE BAR TOUR to a
close, announcing the sixth and seventh stops of the stint to be held on
the same night, Dec. 2. The sixth stop will be at Prospectors in Mt.
Laurel, NJ followed immediately by the seventh stop at Six String in
Foxboro, MA. Times for the shows will be announced closer to the event
and tickets can only be won through radio contesting.
