An opening night concert featuring a true legend of folk music.  One glass of wine and a cheese course included in the admission price.

Friday, June 17 – Camp-out Along the Canal (4 p.m. to 9:15 p.m)
In partnership with Parks Canada, the Festival is pleased to present this open-air, free concert.  100 lucky campers will be allowed to tent overnight beside the historic Lachine canal.

Mark your calendars! Hello Darlin’ Productions, Hyperbole Music, Parks Canada, the Arrondissement du Sud-Ouest and the Centre St-Ambroise have partnered to present the 4th annual Montréal Folk Festival on the Canal. This special four-day music event – slated for Thursday to Sunday, June 16 to 19, 2011 – will take place at various locations in the Arrondissement du Sud-Ouest, including the Georges-Vanier Cultural Centre, a new Parks Canada outdoor venue, and our beloved St-Ambroise Terrace located behind the McAuslan Brewery (5080 St-Ambroise Street) along the historic Lachine Canal.

The Folk Festival on the Canal will showcase some of the top names in folk and roots music.

We have created a number of ticketing options for this year’s festival, including incredible early-bird pricing. To purchase tickets in advance, visit www.montrealfolkfest.com. This is the only way to get advance tickets.

The festival will take place rain or shine. Join us at the St-Ambroise Terrace on Saturday and Sunday for two full days of music. Our commitment to providing top-notch food options continues this year with a number of well-recognized local businesses at the St-Ambroise venue to tempt your taste buds! Parking will also be available on site for a small fee. This is a family-friendly event replete with children’s activities and performances!
