FLATLAND CAVALRY ANNOUNCE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED SOPHOMORE ALBUM HOMELAND INSECURITY, RELEASE SHOW AT FAMED VENUE BILLY BOB’S TEXAS
Celebrated roots country outfit Flatland Cavalry have announced their sophomore album HOMELAND INSECURITY, available everywhere January 18, 2019. The new record comes on the heels of their critically acclaimed debut HUMBLE FOLKS.
The five-piece band hailing from Lubbock, Texas returned to the scene of
their first album, again working with producer Scott Faris at Amusement
Park Studios. Helmed once again by the pensive songwriting and smooth
voice of singer Cleto Cordero, HOMELAND INSECURITY marks the band’s first record in nearly three years.
“We’ve really grown as a band and as individuals from all of our
experiences on the road,” Cordero says. “I think we really captured and
showcased that growth and maturity on this new project very well. We
look forward to returning the love the folks have shown us all over the
United States, in the form of new songs and sounds about life, love, and
loss.”
Flatland Cavalry released the first taste of new music, single
“Honeywine,” in late August 2018. Dubbed “bright and bubbling with a
young love confidence” by Wide Open Country, the tune once again features the vocals of Oklahoma songwriter Kaitlin Butts. Additional details about HOMELAND INSECURITY are
forthcoming, and Flatland Cavalry will play a handful of release show
dates immediately following the release — including a release party at
the famed Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth.

About Flatland Cavalry:
Formed in Fall 2012, Lubbock’s Flatland Cavalry straddles the line
between the Panhandle and the badlands of West Texas with their bright,
earthy country ballads and gritty folk ramblers. With guitarist Reid
Dillon, fiddler Wesley Hall, bassist Jonathan Saenz, and drummer Jason
Albers joining vocalist Cleto Cordero, “Flatland” quickly began to
garner the attention of the masses with dusty, sun-soaked character
sketches, brooding self-evaluations, and candid love songs that all have
the ability to turn into sing-along anthems. The band released their
debut EP COME MAY in 2015 and in 2016, debut full-length HUMBLE FOLKS peaked at No. 38 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.
