It was a happy New Year indeed for Eli Young Band’s Jon Jones and wife
Sarah! People.com reports that the couple welcomed their first child, a
son named Hudson Lennon, on New Year’s Eve at 1:30 pm. Weighing in at 7
lbs., 8 oz. and 21 inches long, Hudson and his parents were home in time
to watch the ball drop.

“We are ecstatic about this beautiful baby boy that came into our
world,” the couple told People. “Words cannot describe our excitement
and joy.” Hudson made his parents wait for his arrival. He was due on

birth plan and have Hudson naturally,” Jon said. “The birth was
extremely smooth. We left our house at 10 a.m. for the birthing center
when contractions were four minutes apart and he was born just a few
short hours later. We had a great birth team who helped us through
everything.”
