Multi-Platinum recording artist Dylan Scott is gearing up for a summer filled with new music and high-energy performances. He has announced the release of his third studio album, “Easy Does It,” on May 30th, inviting fans to pre-save the collection now. To further build anticipation, Scott will release a new single, “I Hate Whiskey.”
“Easy Does It” is an 11-track collection that promises to deliver a blend of heartfelt ballads, upbeat anthems, and nostalgic nods to Scott’s small-town roots. The album showcases Scott’s growth as an artist and his ability to connect with listeners on a deeply personal level, reflecting themes of heartbreak, committed love, and the simple joys of life.
“This album is a collection of songs that I love and felt strongly about releasing,” Scott explains. “For me, the phrase ‘easy does it’ represents where I’m at in my life right now. I’ve spent so much time in the past focusing on what I was going to do next in my career, comparing myself to my peers and worrying about what others needed from me. But now, having kids and being married has allowed me to see what I have right in front of me and embrace it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still working hard. But I am more comfortable with myself and my career than ever before, which has made life so much easier.”
The upcoming single, “I Hate Whiskey,” written by Taylor Phillips, Michael Ray, Jon Kraft, and Jaxson Free, delves into the raw emotions of regret and the struggle to move on from a lost love. The brooding, pop-country track, with its smooth, mid-tempo production, provides another glimpse into the album’s diverse sonic landscape.
“I Hate Whiskey” follows the success of Scott’s previous releases, including “I Owe You One,” “You’d Think I Was A Cowboy,” and the viral hit “What He’ll Never Have,” which has surpassed 285 million global streams. Adding to his momentum, his current single, “This Town’s Been Too Good To Us,” is climbing the charts, currently sitting at No. 4 on Country radio. Scott’s recent collaboration with Dylan Marlowe, “Boys Back Home,” reached the coveted No. 1 spot in January, solidifying his position as one of the most played artists on Country radio this year.
To celebrate the album release, Scott will embark on his headlining “Country Till I Die Tour,” hitting his biggest venues yet. The 17-city tour kicks off on April 3rd in Boston and will travel across the United States and Canada, including stops in major markets like New York City and Ontario. Special guests George Birge, Dasha, and Graham Barham will join Scott on select dates. Additionally, Scott has announced a headlining fall show in Nashville at the new venue The Pinnacle on September 26th, featuring rising artists George Birge and Mackenzie Carpenter.
