Donna will perform songs from her new Bluegrass album FROM THE HEART
The award-winning Singer-Songwriter wrote an amazing 19 of the 21
tracks that appear on this exciting new project.  Radio has certainly
welcomed her music once again as it was #1 on AirPlayDirect’s Global Indicator Top 50 Album Chart across all genres of music in August. The album currently appears on the Roots Music Report
Top 50 Bluegrass Album Chart along with two songs, “The Way I Am” and
“Dog On A 10 Foot Chain” appearing on the publication’s Top 50 Bluegrass
Songs Chart.  “The Way I Am” is also on the current Bluegrass Today Weekly Top 20 Song Chart and the Bluegrass Unlimited Top 30 Singles Chart.

During her recent red carpet Album Release event, Mayor Protem Jessie
Hill of Trinity presented Donna with the Key to the City and proclaimed
August 23 as Donna Hughes Day. She not only celebrated the release of FROM THE HEART that evening, but also released a piano album, FLY,
on the same day. That album includes 8 of original tunes on the 12
track project. Both albums are available in physical format at CD Baby, DonnaHughes.com and available for digital purchase on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby, and many more online outlets.

The busy songstress has also released several videos that can be viewed
on YouTube including the official music video for her song “The Red Oak Tree” that was filmed on location in Asheboro, NC. Donna put together three other must-watch videos including the hilarious “Walmart Checkout Line” (over 41,000+ plus YouTube views) and “Facebook.”  She takes a serious turn with the heart-wrenching “Dog On A 10 Foot Chain” that certainly helps bring attention to the serious issue of pet abuse.
