The
most celebrated female in country music history, Dolly Parton, adds
another career milestone to her long list of accomplishments. With the
release of her 42nd studio album, “Blue Smoke” she scores her highest
charting solo album ever. Dolly, amazingly, has only visited the top-10
of the Billboard 200 once, with the collaborative set “Trio” with
Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt. “I am glad that people are enjoying
the music from my new “Blue Smoke” album,” Dolly said. “It feels great
to be in the top-10. It’s always an honor to know the fans spend their
hard earned money on my music. Thanks everyone.” This album has lots
of ‘bluegrass’ sounds in it, Dolly was recently on NBC’s “Tonight Show”
with Jimmy Fallon, wigs and all. Although the banjo and some of the
bluegrass instruments were on the presentation, it was a little hard to
hear them.
