“It has been a great run to end the tour on…the fans out West came ready to party. The crowd in Boise set a record for beer sales! I’d say that’s a pretty good way to wrap up this leg of the ‘Country & Cold Cans’ tour,” laughs Bentley.
Today, the award winning singer/songwriter will perform at The White House as part of PBS’ sixty-minute “Country Music: In Performance at the White House” special. Fans can stream the event live at 7:00P ET today ( http://www.whitehouse.gov/live) and the special also airs this Wed., Nov. 23 at 8:00P ET on PBS.
“Standing in the East Room of The White House last night rehearsing ‘Home’ was a surreal feeling. No matter who you vote for or what you believe, it is one of the greatest symbols of our country. It is our nation’s ‘Home,’” says Bentley. “I’m honored to have been asked to perform there, and tonight when I sing this song, I will definitely be thinking about all of the men and women in the military.”
