Das neue Album von Cross Canadian Ragweed stieg am 17 März von 0 auf Platz #5 in den aktuellen Country Album Charts und auf #51 in den Hot 200 Album Charts ein. Cross Canadian Ragweed sind schon jetzt die führende Roadhouse Rock Band. Sie sind das Vorhängeschild, wenn in Nashville über Roots Rock gesprochen wird. Was versteckt sich eigentlich hinter der Musik von Cross Canadian Ragweed? Es ist ein Mix aus Rock und Country. Härter als ZZ Top und doch noch so soft, dass man beim Hören keinen Schock bekommt. Die Songs sind grundehrlich und werden auch beim 100stenmal nicht langweilig. Eigenwillig und doch mainstreamtauglich präsentieren sich die Songs. Typisch Country-Rock ist der Titel: “Again” oder “Wanna Rock & Roll”. Hingegen bei “Pay” beweisen die Jungs, dass sie auch die ruhigen Töne beherrschen. Die Kombination CD + DVD ist nur eine Limited Edition Combo. Auf der DVD zeigen Cross Canadian Ragweed eindruckvoll, warum sie eine der momentan angesagteste Band in der USA sind. Zählt man die Songs auf der CD und DVD zusammen, so sind es insgesamt 29 Titel. Cross Canadian Ragweed sind übrigens erst die zweite Band nach Rascal Flatts, die einen solchen Einstand in die Charts vorzuweisen haben. Als Highlight der CD ist der Song “Too Far Gone” anzusehen. Sage und Schreibe 11:33 Minuten ist der Titel lang und mehr Rock als Country. Wann gab es das zuletzt schon einmal?

Cross Canadian Ragweed is already now one of the leading Roadhouse Rock Bands. They are the Band when Nashville talks about Roots Rock. What is behind the Music of Cross Canadian Ragweed? It is a mix of Rock and Country. Harder then ZZ Top but still so soft that you wont get shocked when listening to it. The Songs are honest and not boring even after listening to them 100 times. The Highlight off the CD is the Song “Too Far Gone”. All in all 11:33 minutes long title and more Rock then Country. When did that happen the last time?
