Still Falling
Darin & Brooke Aldridge

Hello!  I’m Camo, one of the hosts of Nashville Access. This week’s pick comes from Darin & Brooke Aldridge.

Every so often, Bluegrass artists become a sort of “bridge” between country music and bluegrass music.  Artists
like Rhonda Vincent, Ricky Skaggs, and even further back, New Grass
Revival.  Darin & Brooke Aldridge fall into this category.
talented husband and wife duo from North Carolina impressed me with
their first album  couple of years ago.
Their new album, Faster And Farther, impressed me even more!  And it’s
not just me who they impress—Vince Gill is a huge fan, too!  This album
is filled with bluegrass music that crosses into country, tight
harmonies—almost “blood harmonies,” and solid writing
from people like Pat Flynn (New Grass Revival), Carl Jackson (Grammy
Award winner/Glen Campbell), Ian Tyson, John Cowan (New Grass Revival),
Salley, and others.
This album isn’t just “good”…I’m pretty sure it’ll end up in my Top 5 of 2017 list next year!  I interviewed
Darin & Brook at the International Bluegrass Music Association’s
office a couple of weeks ago.  Darin & Brooke performed Still
Falling (and Ian Tyson’s Someday Soon) live in the interview.  That’s
the first time an artist has made the hair on the back of my
neck stand up during an interview.  You can watch them and their live
performance over on the Nashville Access YouTube channel.

out “Still Falling” by Darin & Brooke Aldridge.  I wouldn’t be at
all surprised if they get a lot of cross-over success.  You heard it
here first.
