Country Music News International Song of the Week

Fall In Love If You Want To
Gord Bamford
Hello! I’m Camo, one of
the hosts of Nashville Access. This week’s pick comes from a truly
international artist. Gord Bamford was born in Australia, grew up in
Canada, and recently moved to Nashville. I’ve been
a fan of Gord’s for a number of years. “Fall In Love If You Want To”
is the latest single from Gord’s latest album, “Tin Roof.”

Written by Gord, with Phil O’Donnell
and Wade Kirby, “Fall In Love If You Want
To” has a more contemporary country instrumentation in order to fit into the soundscape of today’s
country radio, but Gord’s hard-core country vocals bring it back into the more traditional sound. It also sits nicely in
the middle of the fifteen tracks on the album.

Gord recently played a
couple of dates in Switzerland, and his music is no stranger to radio,
and country fans around the world. He recently played a couple of dates
in Mexico, and in March, heads off to Australia
to play the CMC Rocks Festival. If you’ve never listened to Gord
Bamford before, this song is an excellent introduction to his music—and
I’m pretty sure that it will further add to his awards collection in
Canada.
