About Jonah Prill:

On a humble ranch in Montana, surrounded by mountains as far as the eye can see, a 23-year-old rancher by the name of Jonah Prill decided to say ‘hey’ to something other than his horses…and share his music with the world.

Within a matter of months, over a million people across the country and around the world were roped in by his country boy charm and simple way of life. The casanova’s lyrics draw a crowd, that’s for sure, but he is not just any other social media influencer.  He is a TikTok cowboy if you will, a TikTok cowboy with a voice that lights a fire like kerosene and words that keep it lit.

And he doesn’t plan to let the fire fizzle out anytime soon.

Though people might be quick to make assumptions about guys like Jonah Prill, this talented singer/songwriter with the undeniable western charm comes from pure country music pedigree, having grown up in the shadow of his famous grandfather Dean Evans. You see, Evans was a country artist himself, having released country songs such as “Lottin Dottin” and playing multiple gigs in Texas before making the ultimate decision to move to Montana to become a cowboy.

Jeremy McComb on Country Music News International Radio Show

October 17. interviewed by Nigel Sharpe!

About Jeremy McComb:

Fiercely Indie, Nashville based recording artist with songs on projects selling Over 6 Million Units (Including a Grammy Nominated Movie Soundtrack.) Jeremy McComb is a Road tested, relentless touring performer who has an incredible magic trick of audience connection. More Over than just the singing of his first releases to country radio (2007’s “Wagon Wheel, (Yes that one) – and Various singles that have hit country radio around the country) McComb is an entertainer and a story-teller, with a Live show that allows No false notes and makes sure nothing goes without being tied together for the purpose of a set-up and a pay off. Blending his knack for stories that bring crowds from full laughs to pin drop silence Jeremy’s connection with you, as a part of the experience, is un-matched. While still true, organic, real and raw.

A Troubadour seemingly from times past, when fans were earned on the road, not on a game show or marketing machine “Buying likes”. McComb is the real deal, which is perhaps why the scene has taken notice again.

His path is unique, his style of connection hard to explain, Nonetheless; He’s convinced: “The volcano has started to rumble” McComb says. “People are tired of bullshit, and I’m just trying to bring all of who I am, who my Guys in the band are to the stage every night, which makes every show a little different, every interaction totally its own moment, Thats what we live for. I know everyone has their own path, and theres nothing wrong with anything that people are doing if it connects, But this is what I do, and this is how we do it.”

CD Review: Brit Taylor – Real Me – by Matt Belyea for Country Music News International

This East Kentucky country gal shows her love of traditional country music, with nods 60’s classic country.  I’d call this “Easy Listening” but the best representation of the genre, without any negative any implications.  This album’s recording and production harkens back to some great mixes of the 1960’s.   Big sounds, lush strings and reverb-laden instrumentation, while Brit’s voice is completely in control of every track on this great recording.

Ned LeDoux Interview By Karen Cotton for Country Music News International

One of the most incredible things about great music is that it has the ability to take the listener to a place they’d rather be. A compelling song can carry someone back in time to a treasured memory, or transport a person to a spectacular western prairie they’ve only visited in their dreams. Ned LeDoux’s music has that kind of power. As a songwriter, he has a knack for bringing people, places and emotions vibrantly to life with his insightful lyrics, and warm, strong voice that makes him sound like a beloved friend you always want to hang out with.

Sara Evans Born to Fly by Snehashree Mandal for Country Music News International

Evans was the oldest of seven children raised on a farm in New Franklin, Missouri. By the age of five, she began performing in her family’s band on weekends. She was struck by a car in front of the family home when she was eight years old, and her legs fractured in many places. Singing was what helped pay her medical fees while being stuck in a wheelchair for months. Sara’s father took her to Nashville when she was about ten years old, where she recorded a single (called “I’m Going to Be the Only Female Fiddle Player in Charlie Daniels Band”) and attempted to sell it at Fan Fair.

Trisha Yearwood Every Girl Story by Snehashree Mandal for Country Music News International

MTM Records granted Yearwood an internship, and she was later employed with them as a full-time employee. She recorded a series of demo recordings and sang background vocals for new artists using the record label’s resources. Garth Brooks was one of the performers with whom she collaborated. Brooks promised Yearwood that if his career took off, he would help her obtain a recording contract. Brooks introduced her to his producer, Allen Reynolds, who introduced her to producer Garth Fundis.

The Genuine Cosmic Texas Groove Of Sir Douglas by Tom Bomb for Country Music News International

Sir Douglas. Sir Doug. Doug Sahm. If there were ever a textbook example of the term “polyphasic” he would fit it to a tee. But that’s what made him so special. Doug Sahm was one of a kind. He was equally at home in almost every roots-based genre. From blues to country to rock n’ roll to Western Swing to Cajun to polkas there were few that were as superbly competent. And he was as connected to Hank Williams as he was to Jerry Garcia.

CD Review: J.D. Shelburne – Two Lane Town – by Antony Bailey for Country Music News International

Kentucky born and raised country artist J.D Shelburne recorded and released his second of four albums to date entitled ‘Two Lane Town’ on 27th July 2018. The EP is well worth listening to, adding to the playlist, and revisiting – especially with the ongoing situation around the world at this present time. The first song on the album is ‘Born For This’. J.D adds a personal touch to the tune as it touches on the topic that everybody is on their own personal trajectory through life.
