Kylie Trout on Country Music News International Radio Show!
April 18th interviewed by Christian Lamitschka!
About Kylie Trout
Like many of her fellow graduating seniors, Trout has a bright future on the horizon. But perhaps unlike many of her peers, she is carving a path to stardom. “Everybody that I meet always tells me ‘you’re not 17, you’re an old soul,” she laughs. “And I love that.”
After experiencing abuse from her biological mother at a young age, Trout spent the first eight years of her life being raised by a single dad and her grandparents in Southern California. “Music was my saving grace because I feel like I had to mature very quickly when I was little because there was a lot of things going on that other kids might not understand with my mom.”

Tommy Roe Interview by Savina Todorova for Country Music News International
Roe was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, where he attended Brown High School. After graduating, he landed a job at General Electric soldering wires. He had a Billboard number 1 hit in the U.S. and Australia in 1962 with the track “Sheila”. A buildup of global sales of “Sheila” meant that the Recording Industry Association of America did not present the gold record until 1969. When “Sheila” became a hit in 1962, ABC-Paramount Records asked him to go on tour to promote the hit. He was reluctant to give up his secure job at GE until ABC-Paramount advanced him $5,000.

David: When did I realize that music was where I wanted to go with my life. When I started playing assembly programs at my Parsons, Tn high School at around 15 years of age singing Elvis, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry & Jerry Lee Lewis songs, as well as any other Pop/Rock songs that were radio hits at the time, along with 4 rhythm guitar Players. Parsons High School sent us to 5 other schools to perform at their assembly programs. When the girl’s started screaming, I started dreaming, and was hooked.

Jana Jae Interview by Savina Todorova for Country Music News International
Musical talent runs through the family. Her parents studied at the famed Juilliard School of Music, New York City, and Jana was introduced to the classical study of the violin, on a 1/8 sized instrument, at the age of two. Then, thanks to the direction and inspiration of her grandfather, an accomplished champion fiddler in his own right, Jana also learned to love playing by ear. She virtually grew up jamming with and learning from some of the best in the business while living in western Idaho, not far from Weiser, the site of the National Oldtime Fiddlers’ Contest. Soon she had honed her skill of fiddling into a fine art and won the Ladies National Championship several times.
