Music Big In Europe
Since
May 10, 2014 Country Music has a new home! It is not America, not
Canada, not Australia, not Asia! It is Europe! Believe it or not,
but millions of music lovers in Europe voted during the Eurovison
Song Contest for the duo The Common Linnets with the their song “Calm
After The Storm” coming in #2.
The
Common Linnets based in the Netherlands are Ilse DeLange and Waylon.
They recorded an amazing 12 song country album in Nashville, TN.
1. Calm
After The Storm
2. Hungry
Hands
3. Arms Of
Salvation
4. Still
Loving After You
5. Sun Song
6. Lovers &
Liars
7. Broken
But Home
8. Before
Complete Surrender
9. Where Do
I Go With Me
10. Time
Has No Mercy
11. Give Me
A Reason
12. When
Love Was King
13. Love
Goes On
The
Common Linnets are now building a fan base with US country music
audiences. Remember
Keith Urban? When his record label introduced him to the public in
Germany they said, “We’re proud to present Rock & Pop artist
Keith Urban from Australia”. Now they can tell German and European
music lovers what kind of music Nashville artists are really playing.
It doesn’t matter what country they come from. What’s important
is where they’re based and what kind of music they record.
Since
The Common Linnets made it to #2 at the Eurovison Song Contest 2014,
Europe is more than ready for good country music.
