“Maybe Next Year” winner to fly to Corey’s Myrtle Beach NYE show
Nashville, Tenn. (Friday, December 16, 2011) – Corey Smith is known for his storytelling tunes the everyman can relate to, including the procrastinator’s anthem, “ Maybe Next Year.”  In a promotion with CMT, Corey put the question out to his fans to come up with their best “Maybe Next Year…” want and hope for 2012.  After receiving countless submissions, a random drawing was conducted by CMT and Caitlin Sutter from North Olmsted, OH was selected as the grand prize winner.  Caitlin and a friend will be flown to Myrtle Beach, SC for a VIP experience at Corey’s New Year’s Eve show at the House of Blues including a private opera box at the venue, meet and greet with Corey, and swag bags.
After wrapping up a congratulatory call to Caitlin, Corey shared, “I could hear the excitement in her voice. I look forward to hanging out with her some more on New Year’s Eve down in Myrtle Beach.”  He then added, “I want to say thanks to CMT for bringing this opportunity my way and also to the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach for their support with this contest.  It’s really nice to have the music used in such a positive way…  and maybe next year, we’ll get to do more of this kind of stuff!”
There was such an abundance of artistic, funny, and inspirational entries though, that Corey and CMT felt compelled to create another video for the song made up of fan submissions.  The original video debuted on CMT on November 16, but both Corey and the network are looking forward to showcasing the fan photos.  Look for it on CMT in the new year!
