“The whole story came about from a couple of guys—one from the station where we were living, one in Onslow—both getting a bit older but still having a crack,” Colum explains, his voice carrying a sense of admiration. “I just want to get all the songs out,” Colum expresses with an eagerness to share his musical creations with a wider audience. His recent participation in the Tamworth Country Music Festival in Australia proved to be a significant milestone, providing an invaluable platform to connect with fellow musicians and share his new material. “The Tamworth Country Music Festival was awesome – it was great to share these songs and catch up with people. I’m already looking forward to getting things organised for next year,” he enthuses.
With his album slated for release in August, Colum is particularly keen to connect with listeners within the rodeo community, believing the themes of dedication and enduring passion will deeply resonate. “I think rodeo listeners will relate to this song, as well as musos,” he predicts.
