CMHOF & Opry Member Jean Shepard Passes: Our condolences to the family and friends of Country Music Hall of Fame and Grand Ole Opry member Jean Shepard, who died this morning (9/25) at age 82. Shepard was the longest-running Opry member
and celebrated her 60th anniversary with the show last year. Her
signature songs included the Ferlin Husky duet “A Dear John Letter,” “A
Satisfied Mind,” “Second Fiddle (To An Old Guitar)” and “Slippin’ Away.”
Arrangements are pending.
