Berg, Kristian Bush, Bobby Pinson, and Host Bob DiPiero Share the Stories Behind
Their Hit Songs

NASHVILLE – July 11, 2013 – The CMA
Songwriters Series returns to Joe’s Bar in Chicago for a special night on Thursday,
Aug. 1 (8:30 PM/CT).
Celebrating its ninth remarkable year, the CMA Songwriters Series features special
guests
Matraca Berg, Kristian Bush, Bobby Pinson, and Bob DiPiero, who will also
serve as the evening’s host. Tickets go on sale
tomorrow.

As one
half of Country Music duo 
Sugarland, Bush has garnered
five CMA Vocal Duo of the Year Awards, sold more than 22 million units, and garnered
eight No. 1 singles. An accomplished producer and songwriter, he is responsible
for hits such as “Baby Girl” recorded by Sugarland and “Love or Money,”
Bush’s current solo single.

“The thing I love most about the CMA
Songwriters Series is watching the audience discover new things about songs they’ve
known for years,” said Bush. “I know I’ve learned more about the songwriting process
just by sitting next to the amazing writers in this series. As a bonus, I also
love Chicago and Joe’s Bar — I remember the first time I played there and I look
forward to playing there again in August. It’s going to be another great night.”

Berg won
the CMA Song of the Year award in 1997 for the Deana Carter hit “Strawberry Wine.”
She was nominated for the same award in 2011 for “You & Tequila,” recorded
by Kenny Chesney featuring Grace Potter Her songs have been recorded by Patty
Loveless, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Linda Rondstadt, and Trisha Yearwood.

Also joining
the group is singer-songwriter Bobby Pinson. Pinson has had multiple No. 1 hits
including “It Happens,” “Already Gone,” “All I Want To Do,” and his
first No. 1 song “Want To,” all recorded by Sugarland.

CMA Songwriters
Series host DiPiero
(“Southern Voice” recorded by Tim McGraw, “Blue
Clear Sky” recorded by George Strait, and “Lovin’ You Is Fun” recorded
by Easton Corbin) will also return to the stage, sharing the entertaining stories
behind some of his most popular hit songs. DiPiero has had over 1,200 songs recorded
by other artists, countless hit singles, and an astounding 15 No. 1 hits.

Aug. 1 CMA Songwriters Series at Joe’s Bar are on sale tomorrow
for a special early bird price of $15 until July 14. Tickets purchased after July
