Deana Carter,
Rory Feek, James Slater, and Host Bob DiPiero Share the Stories Behind Their Hits
NASHVILLE
– The CMA Songwriters Series returns to the acclaimed Joe’s Pub in New York City
for a special two-night event on Wednesday, Dec. 4 and Thursday, Dec. 5. Celebrating nine
remarkable years, the CMA Songwriters Series features special guests Deana Carter, Rory
Feek, James Slater, and host Bob DiPiero. Tickets go on
sale today and show times for both nights will be 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM/ET.
Carter
is best known for her No. 1 smash, “Strawberry Wine,” which won CMA Song of
the Year in 1997. In addition, she penned the Kenny Chesney hit “You and Tequila,”
which was nominated last year for CMA Song of the Year.
Feek is one half
of the duo Joey + Rory. He wrote or co-wrote much of the duo’s current album,
His and Hers, and has logged multiple No. 1’s including
“A Little More Country Than That” recorded by Easton Corbin and “Some Beach”
recorded by Blake Shelton.
Slater is a singer/songwriter who has penned songs including
“In My Daughters Eyes” recorded by Martina McBride, “Unstoppable” recorded
by Rascal Flatts, and “The High Cost of Living” recorded by Jamey Johnson.
CMA Songwriters
Series host DiPiero (“Southern Voice” recorded by Tim McGraw, “Blue
Clear Sky” recorded by George Strait, and “Lovin’ You Is Fun” recorded
by Easton Corbin) will join Carter, Feek and Slater, sharing the entertaining
stories behind some of his most popular hit songs.
Tickets for the
