Nashville, Tenn. (April 12, 2016) – Big Loud Records’ breakthrough artist Chris Lane
has hit the Top 20 with his debut single, “Fix,” continuing his blazing
rise to the top of the country radio charts. Country fans have fallen
in love with the song, snapping up 100,000 copies since its release, and
as “Fix” cruises towards the 10-million-streams mark on Spotify, its
video has been watched over 1.2 million times on Vevo.
On April 15th, Lane will give fans a deeper glimpse into his star-making catalog with the physical release of his FIX
EP as a Target exclusive featuring two new tracks: “Drinkin’ Games”
(co-written by Lane with Adam Sanders, Matt Jenkins, and Zach Crowell),
and a previously-unreleased acoustic version of “Fix.” And as a thank
you to his growing fan base, every copy sold at Target includes a pair
of passes to meet Lane at a future show.
Lane was recently highlighted in US Weekly’s
“Buzz-o-Meter” as his profile continues to rise thanks to shout-outs
from celebrities like Lucy Hale, Daughtry, Florida Georgia Line, and
more. He landed at No. 1 on Billboard’s Twitter Real-Time Emerging
Artist chart upon the debut of “Fix,” making the irresistible song one
of the most shared tracks on Twitter in the U.S. from an up-and-coming
artist. “Fix” is the title track of his newly-released EP (produced by
the award-winning Joey Moi), and shaped the sonic direction BILLBOARD.com describes as pushing “the already-stretched boundaries of country music even further.”
Media have applauded his bold, fresh sound and standout falsetto; with early raves including
ROLLING STONE’s “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know,”
YOUNG HOLLYWOOD’s “Artist To Watch” list,
HELLO! Magazine’s “People You Will Be Talking About” and
GLAMOUR’s “Music We Love.” Lane was also chosen for the select
CMT 2016 LISTEN UP
campaign. The talented newcomer started his career selling out club
shows in his hometown of Kernersville, NC, opened for Dustin Lynch’s
sold-out HELL OF A NIGHT Tour, and has toured with heavy-hitters Florida
Georgia Line, Nelly, Jerrod Niemann, Lee Brice and more.
To celebrate the release of the Target exclusive, Lane will be playing
shows in his home state of North Carolina April 15-16 and then will join
Rascal Flatts’ RHYTHM & ROOTS Tour this summer.
